Chamber Music at Plano

Chamber Music, that of solo and ensemble playing, is a vital part to the success of the Plano Band Program. Each student is engaged, on average, with one solo and one ensemble piece following marching season.

Along with the All-Region component of the program, solo and ensemble preparation offers the student musician the opportunity to grow in ability, depth, and functionality. The benefits present themselves as the deeper understanding and savviness fosters itself in larger ensemble preparation and performance.

Chamber music is the oldest and most diverse genre of performance music. Encompassing a vast variety of sizes and instrumentations, chamber music has been around in one form or another since the dawn of modern man.
